Healthcare – Promoting inclusion in all approaches!
Four training courses highlight inclusion in healthcare support
Health professionals play an influential role in people’s lives. So it’s important that their message about body image is clear and up-to-date. Research is evolving rapidly, and knowledge of what is “healthy” and what is not has changed greatly in recent years. Old perceptions are still very much with us.
This series of training sessions is designed to bring knowledge up to date and provide best practice tools for effective intervention.

Intervening with young people, having a positive influence
What issues are teens concerned about when it comes to body image? What biases still surround obesity and healthy lifestyles in healthcare settings? How can we adopt an approach that promotes young people’s well-being?
During adolescence, body image is a central issue for both boys and girls. As health professionals, school nurses often play a key role in helping young people. Their interventions can positively influence young people’s self-perceptions and their relationship with health.
With this training, participants will develop essential tools to:
✔ Understand young people’s concerns related to body image.
✔ Deconstruct the myths and biases surrounding obesity and lifestyle habits.
✔ Adapt your clinical approach to better support adolescents
✔ Promote interventions that encourage a healthy relationship with the body and health.
Targeted, informed action can transform the journey of those affected. Contact us to find out more!

Including parents in the follow-up of a person with an eating disorder
Why is it essential to involve parents and loved ones in a care partnership? How can we help loved ones better support a person with an eating disorder? How can we help without invading? What posture should we adopt?
Parents and relatives play a central role in the recovery of people with an eating disorder. Yet they often find themselves at a loss, vacillating between helplessness and an involvement that can sometimes be too intense.
This training course enables you to:
✔ Understand the role and influence of loved ones in the recovery process.
✔ Identify attitudes and behaviors that promote effective support.
✔ Adopt strategies for establishing a balanced partnership with families.
✔ Explore concrete tools to better support parents and loved ones in their role as caregiver.

Body dissatisfaction or satisfaction? What links exist between body image and mental health? How can we help reinforce a positive perception of the body? What strategies can help prevent psychological disorders linked to body dissatisfaction?
Body image is considered a major public health issue and a key determinant of psychological well-being. Research shows that a negative perception of one’s body is associated with an increased risk of anxiety, depressive and eating disorders. However, it is possible to intervene to promote a better relationship with the body and thus improve mental health.
With this training, participants will leave with essential tools to:
✔ Understand the mechanisms that link body image and mental health.
✔ Identify the factors that influence body dissatisfaction.
✔ Discover intervention strategies to reinforce positive body perception.
✔ Explore concrete clinical approaches through examples from the field.
