Acting on body image & inclusion
A school climate where every student feels confident starts with well-equipped teachers.

Full day (7h)

Grade 6 teachers

In person
The simply me program, developed by Dr. Annie Aimé and Dr. Mylène Dault in partnership with Table Éducation Outaouais, aims to reduce bullying related to appearance and promote inclusion. The program includes 6 workshops for grade 6 elementary school students, and can be easily integrated into courses on ethics, healthy lifestyle habits and sexuality education*.
The 7-hour (one-day) training course is designed to raise awareness and equip teachers to implement the program. Body image, bullying and inclusive leadership are addressed and form the basis of the diverse and dynamic pedagogical activities found in each workshop. In order to have a positive influence on the school’s culture and to offer the best possible support to students in the development of their inclusive skills, attitudes and behaviours, all Grade 6 teachers in the same school must take part in the training.
*In Quebec, simply me is part of the Culturel et citoyenneté québecoise (CCQ) program. Each workshop corresponds to the components of the Cycle 3 competency: Reflect critically on cultural realities.
